e5: King of the A-road

The daddy of the e-motive scooter range, the e5 takes personal, zero-emissions transport into new realms of distance and speed.

With modern, aero-sculpted bodywork and a 5000W brushless hub electric motor, the e5 copes effortlessly with passengers, gradients and long, open-road journeys. Handy enough to pilot through the densest of urban jungles, it’s also got the legs and power for serious intercity work.

When it’s at a standstill, the e5 is silent. It’s a strange sensation at first and you might wonder if it’s switched on. But twist the throttle grip and, provided it is on, the engine picks up immediately, producing a slight whirr to let you know it’s electric. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes front and rear.

There’s a choice of power output on each e-motive electric scooter. On the open road, you’ll want full power for optimum performance, but there’s also a handy energy-saver option for stop-start traffic and urban trickling. As well as conserving power, this switch provides softer take-off and acceleration for easy handling when the streets are choked with traffic and pedestrians, or when you want to maximise your mileage.
